CAMDEN — Helen R. Bovee, 89, of Fayette Street passed away Wednesday August 15, 2012 at Faxton-St. Luke’s Health Care with her loving family by her side. Helen was born May 12, 1923 in St. Regis Falls, NY, the daughter of Joseph and Rose (Bribous) Boucher. She was a graduate of St. Regis Falls High School.
During WWII she work at Savage Arms and then at General Electric, both in Utica. Helen was married to Edward E. Bovee on January 10, 1962 in Alexandria Bay, NY. Edward passed away on January 4, 1984.
Helen was a loving, caring and sweet lady. She enjoyed being with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Helen was an avid NY Yankee and Miami Dolphin fan.
Surviving are two daughters, Carole (Ed) Rolf of Blossvale and Jeanne (John) Tate of Camden; a son, Mark (Mae) Listovitch of Sauquoit; four granddaughters, Ashley, Rachelle, Kim and Kris; one grandson Jim; seven great-grandchildren, Janet, Jenna, Emilee, Jaime, Bailee, Kaylee and Alexa; two sisters, Vivian Tyler of Lee Center and Beatrice Jones of SC. She was predeceased by a son, John Bovee in 1979, and also three sisters, Mary Plunkett, Irene Listovitch and Louise Wilcox.
Funeral Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday from the LaRobardiere Funeral Home, Inc., Camden, NY. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Sunday from 2-4 p.m. at the funeral home, 109 Main Street.
