Westernville artist wins
association’s Best of Show

Lynne Reichhart of Westernville won the Best in Show award with her acrylic painting "Gillis" in the Rome Art Association Membership Exhibit.
It’s one of four shows on display in the Rome Art and Community Center, 308 W. Bloomfield St. The RAA exhibit ends Aug. 31, while the other exhibits run through Sept. 14. Rome Art And Community Center’s galleries are open for free Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Anyone interested in the aims and objectives of the Rome Art Association is welcome to join for $15 a year. The group meets on the first Thursday of the month, generally in the art center (October and November meeting locations are to be announced). A social period with Artist of the Month selections is held at 7 p.m. with a brief business meeting at 7:30 and then a guest speaker.
