Police: Annsville man possessed child porn

An Annsville man accused of possessing kiddie porn on his home computer is scheduled for arraignment in County Court on Aug. 20.

Phillip W. Becktoft, 54, of 9887 Taberg-Florence Road, was indicted Aug. 2 on five counts of possessing a sexual performance by a child. He is scheduled to appear for arraignment before Judge Michael L. Dwyer.

The indictment said Becktoft was found with images and videos of child pornography on his home computer between April and July 2011. His residence was raided by local and federal authorities in February, and he was taken into custody.

Other indictments:

¿ Hasan Muslic, 54, of 1404 Neilson St., Utica, was indicted Aug. 2 on one count each of attempted fourth-degree grand larceny and fourth-degree possession of stolen property.

The indictment said Muslic was found with another man’s credit card in Verona on May 1, when he tried to use to get money on 13 separate attempts. The indictment said Muslic tried to steal $2,086.99.

¿ Keith R. Ellsworth, 44, no address available, was indicted Aug. 2 on one count each of driving while intoxicated and speeding.

The indictment said at 1:56 a.m. Marcy 27, Ellsworth was driving drunk and speeding a 74 mph in a 55 mph zone on Route 365 in Verona.

¿ Anthony M. Mandia, 24, no address available, was indicted Aug. 2 on one count each of driving while intoxicated, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, no headlights and breath test refusal.

The indictment said at 1:28 a.m. March 22, Mandia was driving drunk on Kellogg Road in New Hartford.
