MVCC extends service hours
Mohawk Valley Community College is extending its service office hours to help students and their families in preparations for upcoming fall classes that start Aug. 20.
In addition, MVCC said it is offering a new selection of online and evening courses that begin on the week of Sept. 10, making it possible for students to start after Labor Day and still complete the entire first semester. General-studies courses applicable to a wide range of degree and certificate programs will be included.
For the extended hours, through Aug. 24 MVCC’s student service centers in Utica and Rome will be open Mondays-Thursdays, 8:30 a.m.-7 p.m., and on Fridays from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Available offices will include Admissions, Advisement, Placement Testing, Financial Aid, Records and Registration, and Bursar.
New and returning students are advised to take care of admissions, advising, payment, and other tasks as early as possible for the best selection of courses and to secure their class schedules, MVCC said. Call 792-5354.
