Olga Lastowicka, 88, of S. Pennystreet Road, Rome, passed away Saturday, August 4, 2012.
She was born December 16, 1923, in Rome, the daughter of Charles and Dorothy Andrews Lastowicka.
Olga was a graduate of Holland Patent Central High School, Class of 1942.
She was employed at Griffiss Force Base for over thirty-five years retiring in 1988.
Olga was a member of St. Michael’s Ukrainian Catholic Church and was a member of their Choir, and was an active member of the National Association of Retired Employees .
She also will be known for loving to Polka.
Surviving are two sisters, Anna Kirk, W. Edmeston; Katherine Berry, with whom she resided with; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Michael and Violet Lastowicka, Holland Patent; Andrew and Theresa Lastowicka, Rome; Peter and Beatrice Lastowicka, Verona; several neices, nephews and many great-nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday 10 a.m. at the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George Street, Rome with Rev. Michael Buntz officiating. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call athe funeral home Tuesday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
