The laryngectomy support group sponsored by St. Elizabeth Medical Center meets Thursday at noon. The public is welcome.

A laryngectomy is the procedure to remove a person’s larynx and separates the airway from the mouth, nose and esophagus. The laryngectomee breathes through an opening in the neck, called a stoma.

Meetings for the laryngectomy support group are held the second Thursday of each month at noon.
