Chiari support offered in Floyd
FLOYD — A Chiari Cares support Group meets at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the Floyd United Methodist Church, 8398 New Floyd Road (Route 365).
Chiari is a neurological disorder for which there is no cure. There are treatments and lifestyle changes that can help relieve symptoms for some people. Headaches worsened by exertion, lifting, coughing, sneezing etc. are a primary symptom. Vision changes, balance problems and pain in the hands, arms and shoulders are frequent problems, organizers explained.
