Outstanding support for bocce tourney

The officers and members of the Toccolana Club would again like to thank all who patronized the 39th World Series of Bocce. The support exhibited by the Rome community was outstanding!

The Toccolana Club continues to work with the Rome community and is proud to be a business partner in our city. We continue to work with community leaders, organizations, and the Rome population to improve our community.

We would like to give special thanks to for the support we received from Rome Mayor Joseph Fusco, Father Paul Angelicchio of Saint John’s Church, County Executive Anthony Picente, Council President John Mazzaferro, Ms. Della Prey and the RFA Jr. ROTC, and Miss Hannah Hoffman, who all made our opening ceremonies a success. A special thank you goes out to James Guy and the members of the Galliano Club who assisted us throughout the weekend. We would also like to thank the many people who volunteered their personal time to our tournament.

This year we honored our major sponsors, Tri-County Beverage/Budweiser, Rome Price Chopper, Ace Hardware of Rome and NBT bank of Rome. As it has every year, the media coverage by the Daily Sentinel was outstanding!

Teams from all over the Northeast and Canada traveled to Rome, New York, to participate in the World Series of Bocce. This year 74 teams competed in the Open Division and 45 teams vied in the Women’s.

The Toccolana Club fully understands the importance of building strong partnerships with the many community groups. We support many youth and business organizations that also make Rome their home. Our partnership with all aspects of our city will continue to grow in a positive manner.
