Universalists combine services

Sunday at 10:30 a.m. Barneveld and other churches in the Mohawk Valley Unitarian Universalist Cluster will join for a combined service in Salisbury Center at 138 Route 29A (opposite town hall) .

The First Universalist Church of Salisbury Center invites all to join "A Celebration of Our Heritage" in the annual summertime worship service. Each of the member congregations will present a short topic relating to the history of their church.

The Unitarian Universalist churches of the Mohawk Valley UU Cluster are: the Utica UU Church, St. Paul’s Universalist Church of Little Falls, the churches of Salisbury and Barneveld, along with the newly organizing Camden Fellowship.

The Rev. Tim Behrendt will lead the service. Mark Bunce will direct the combined choirs of Little Falls, Utica and Barneveld UU Churches. Harp and Harmony will perform musical selections.

A Potluck Fellowship will follow the service, and everyone is asked to bring a dish to pass (appetizer, salad, drink, dessert, etc.). The Salisbury church will supply the main dish.Organizers said "there will be plenty of food," for those unable to bring a dish or who forget.

Wednesday, Aug. 8 the Barneveld Church Picnic Potluck will be at Nancy Wheeler’s in Remsen at 5:30 pm. Bring a dish to pass, and games, musical instruments, songs, etc. For details, phone 205-4244 or check www.uubarneveld.org.
