Road work

The weekly Road Work Report for construction, permit and maintenance projects in Oneida County for the week of July 30 is as follows:

¿ Towns of Lee and Annsville: Route 69 between Rome and Taberg. Paving to begin during the week of July 30. One-way flagger-controlled alternating traffic. Expect minor delays.

¿ Towns of Marcy and Whitestown: Construction activities on Mohawk/Clinton Street, between Route 69 and River Road. One-way flagger-controlled alternating traffic. Expect minor delays.

¿ Town of Vernon: Route 31 paving operations between Stuhlman Road and Route 26 in Vernon Center. One-way flagger-controlled alternating traffic. Expect minor delays.

¿ Town of Deerfield: Miller Road bridge over Routes 8 and 12 will remain closed until Labor Day due to bridge deck replacement. A signed detour is in place directing traffic to Trenton Road and Route 8.

¿ City of Utica and Town of New Hartford: Paving operations will continue on French Road, between Burrstone and Chenango roads. Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction. Extensive delays will be encountered. Alternate routes are advised.

¿ Village of Clinton and Towns of Kirkland and New Hartford: Paving operations on Route 12B between Robinson Road in Clinton and Hara Crescent in New Hartford. One-way flagger-controlled alternating traffic. Expect extensive delays. Alternate routes are advised.

¿ Town of New Hartford: Reconstruction on the Route 8 bridge over S & W Railroad, between Genesee Street and Washington Mills, will continue. Motorists will encounter a lane closure northbound and southbound, traffic pattern changes and a speed limit reduction to 45 mph due to bridge maintenance operations. The Mill Street ramp to Route 8 South is closed for the duration of the bridge deck repairs. Mill Street remains open to businesses and patrons. Only the ramp is closed.
