Third annual Delta Lake Triathlon July 29

The third annual Delta Lake Triathlon is scheduled for Sunday, July 29, with already hundreds of athletes from around the Northeast set to be competing in the sprint and intermediate distances in the third year.

The event includes two separate races. The sprint event consists of a 750-meter swim, 12-mile bike race and 3-mile run, and the intermediate distance triathlon consists of a 1,500-meter swim, 24-mile bike course and a 6-mile run. Relay teams may solely compete in the intermediate event.

Race organizers have capped the race at 500 athletes.

ATC Endurance will feature two additional races this year: the Old Forge Triathlon on Sunday, Aug. 26, and the Treads and Threads Races at Vernon Downs Hotel and Casino on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 8- 9. During that weekend, Vernon Downs will host a duathlon as well as 5-kilometer and 10-mile races.
