Two sought in knife-point robbery at Turning Stone
TOWN OF VERONA — A knifepoint robbery in the parking garage of the Turning Stone Casino is under investigation, and law enforcers are searching for two black males.
A Syracuse man named Nilo A. Bachiller, age 23, is wanted for questioning, according to state police. No arrests have been made.
Investigator Dustin Hite said two black males of average build were loitering in the casino parking garage at about 6:45 a.m. Saturday, July 14, when they approached two other young males and asked for a ride.
The two victims had just come from the casino, and the two thieves asked them for a ride from the parking garage to the main entrance.
When they reached their vehicle, troopers said one of the thieves pulled out a knife and they stole an undisclosed amount of cash. Hite declined to release the exact amount.
No one was injured during the robbery, authorities stated. The two thieves then fled the parking garage in a white 2007 Chevy Impala — which was later recovered by Syracuse Police.
Anyone with information about the robbery or Bachiller is asked to call the state police at 366-6000. All calls will be kept confidential.
