State group elects Utica dentist
Dr. John J. Liang of Utica has been elected vice president of the New York State Dental Association for 2014.
He previously served as president of the Fifth District Dental Society in 2002, and has been a member of Association for 27 years.
Dr. Liang graduated from University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine in 1980, and holds a master’s degree in forensic chemistry and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh. He has served as an attending dentist at the SUNY Canton dental hygiene program since 2006 as well as an attending dentist for the dental residency program at Faxton-St.Luke’s Hospital since 2008. His dental career began in 1980 with the Air Force and continued through 1985. Dr. Liang entered private practice in 1985.
