After-camp arts program offered

Rome Art And Community Center offers a new summer fine art program for children ages 5-12 — After Camp Art Studio.

The Art Studio runs Monday through Thursday, 3 to 4:30 p.m. and is open to children attending RACC summer camp, or any child age 5-12. The Studio will run through Aug. 16th. Students may sign up for one week, several weeks or all weeks. Camp Art Studio is one hour and 30 minutes of fine arts concentration along with a snack held in the air conditioned third floor Wonderland Room of the center, 308 W. Bloomfield St. The Art Studio is led by RACC Camp instructor Jacob Premo.

"This program is perfect for parents who need extra time after camp hours for child care, or for students not attending a summer program who want to interact with other children, or those who love art! Parents can rest easy as their child is cared for in a fun, creative, hands-on environment," said RACC Executive Director Lauren Marie Getek.

Tuition is: $30 per week or the RACC Member rate of $25/week. Students attending RACC’s Artletics Summer Camp pay $16 per week and those attending Artletics via the Federal grant pay $8/week.

Space is limited and registration is required by calling 336-1040. All materials and a snack are included in the price of tuition.
