Road work projects continue in Oneida, Herkimer and Madison counties next week.

In the Village of Oriskany, there will be milling and paving on River Road between Route 69 and Route 49. Milling and paving operations. One-way alternating traffic will be controlled by flaggers.

In the Towns of Marcy and Trenton, there will be lane closures northbound or southbound on Route 12 between Riverside Mall and Mappa Avenue due to crack sealing.

In the Towns of Marcy and Whitestown, there will be milling and paving on Mohawk/Clinton Street between Route 69 and River Road. One-way alternating traffic will be controlled by flaggers.

In the City of Utica and Town of New Hartford, there will be milling and paving on French Road between Burrstone and Chenango roads. Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction.

In the Town of Deerfield, Miller Road Bridge over Routes 8 and 12 will be closed Monday until Labor Day due to bridge deck replacement. A signed detour directing traffic to Trenton Road and Route 8 will be in place.

In the Town of Marshall, there will be paving on Route 12 between Waterville and Summit Road, which will continue into the Town of Paris. Motorists will encounter one-way alternating traffic controlled by flaggers.

In the Town of Paris, the Route 8 bridge over the S&W Railroad between Oneida Street and Pinnacle Road will be closed from Monday through Sept. 5 due to bridge deck replacement. Route 8 southbound motorists will be detoured from Route 8 to Pinnacle Road, to Oneida Street south, then back to Route 8. Temporary traffic signals have been installed at the Pinnacle Road intersection and at the Oneida Street intersection. Contractor will be working around the clock Monday through Saturday.

Town of New Hartford:

¿ Route 5 at the Applewood/Cherrywood intersection. The newly-installed traffic signal is activated to full three-color operation.

¿ Route 8 over S&W Railroad, between Genesee Street and Washington Mills. Motorists will encounter a lane closure northbound and southbound at all times, traffic pattern changes and a speed limit reduction to 45 mph due to bridge maintenance operations. The Mill Street ramp to Route 8 south is closed for the duration of the repairs. Mill Street will remain open to businesses and patrons; only the ramp will be closed.

¿ Route 840 eastbound at the two-lane to four-lane transition. Miscellaneous construction will require intermittent closures.

¿ Genesee Street over Sauquoit Creek bridge will be painted. Motorists will encounter intermittent lane closures controlled by flaggers.

¿ Route 12 between Tibbitts Road and Mulberry Road will be paved. Motorists will encounter one-way alternating traffic controlled by flaggers.

Towns of Herkimer and Schuyler: Route 5 shoulder work and ditching operations between West German Street and Schuyler will include one-way alternating traffic controlled by flaggers.

City of Oneida: Sidewalk, drainage and signal work will continue on Route 5 at the Route 46 intersection. Most work will take place off the roadway. Motorists will encounter lane shifts. Minor delays may be encountered due to an occasional lane closure.
