Making necklace starts teen series

Teens can make a starry night necklace, meet the Rome Investigators of the Paranormal, become a zombie, discover the Renaissance with the Merely Players of Upstate New York, and decorate themselves with henna tattoosat Jervis Library this summer.

Teen Services Librarian Lisa Kinna said, "Programs will be offered weekly for teens entering 7th grade through 12th grade, beginning Thursday, July 12, and ending Wednesday, Aug. 15. They will be held in the library auditorium. All are free," she added.

Ms. Kinna went on to say, "Teens can also join the "Own the Night" Teen Summer Reading Club. Read books, magazines, newspapers, graphic novels, and comic books; audio books and e-books count, too. Keep track of your time spent reading Earn a prize if you reach 20 hours." Registration is ongoing. In addition, readers are eligible for weekly prizes by filling out book rating forms.
