Revere official gets international award
Theodore J. Engle, product development manager at Revere Copper Products, has been presented the Award of Merit and title of fellow by an international standards organization.
Formerly the American Society for Testing and Materials, ASTM International presented Engle with its highest organizational recognition for individual contributions to standards activities.
Engle is second vice chairman of ASTM’s committee on copper and copper alloys. He is also chairman of the subcommittee on rod, bar, wire, shapes and forgings and secretary of the committee on strategic planning. He received the Award of Appreciation in 2003 and a Distinguished Service Award for his term on the Committee on Standards in 2009. He has been a member of ASTM International since 1997.
Engle joined Revere Copper in 1972 as a process engineer. He was promoted to process manager, metallurgical manager and then plant quality manager before assuming his current role in 1996. He received a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Clarkson University, Potsdam, and a master’s degree in industrial and management engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy.
