Domestic incidents earn multiple mischief charges

VILLAGE OF CROGHAN — A woman was charged Monday with damaging multiple items belonging to two men when she was involved in several disputes with her boyfriend over a 15-hour period.

Lewis County Sheriff’s deputies said Cindy L. Miller, 28, of 9768 Route 812, Beehive Apartments, Apt. 20, was involved in domestic incidents with her boyfriend, Phillip T. Peck, 30, of Beehive Apartments, Apt. 18, in which Miller threw multiple items at Peck including a full can of soda, a jar of peanut butter, a Playstation 3 remote control, and a full bottle of Gatorade, striking a 32-inch flat screen television damaging it, deputies said. Miller then threw a 5-quart Crock Pot insert at a wall in the apartment, smashing it to pieces.

Miller was charged with third-degree criminal mischief, a class E felony; and two counts of fourth-degree criminal mischief, a class A misdemeanor. She was arraigned in Village Court and sent to Lewis County Jail in lieu of $2,000 cash bail. State police assisted.
