Road work

Motorists may encounter minor delays as area road work projects continue during the week of June 10-16.

Oneida County

Rome and Westmoreland: Route 233 shoulder closure between Rome and Westmoreland due to topsoil placement. Expect minor delays.

New Hartford: Route 5 at the Applewood/Cherrywood intersection motorists will encounter intermittent initial traffic signal work.

Expect minor delays. Route 8 over the S&W Railroad, between Genesee Street and Washington Mills, motorists will encounter a lane closure northbound and southbound due to bridge maintenance work.

Route 840 eastbound there will be some milling and paving work continuing. Drivers will encounter a lane closure and minor delays.

Vernon: Route 26 at Townline Road motorists will encounter a northbound lane closure due to culvert work. One-way alternating traffic will be controlled by a temporary traffic signal. Delays may be encountered.

Madison County

City of Oneida: Sidewalk, drainage and signal work will continue at Route 5 between Route 46 and Seneca Street, and Route 46 between Glenwood Avenue and Route 5.

Most work will take place off the roadway. Motorists will encounter lane shifts.

Minor delays may be encountered due to an occasional lane closure.
