DWI charges again for Lewis County man
TOWN OF LEYDEN — A Lewis County man with a history of drunken driving was charged again Thursday night with a blood alcohol content approaching three times the legal threshold.
Sheriff’s deputies said Eric J. McMinn, 41, of 7214 E. Main St., Port Leyden, was pulled over on Brock Road at about 11:30 p.m. Thursday. Deputies said McMinn registered a bac of 0.20 percent, more than double the legal limit of 0.08 percent.
Deputies said McMinn was also driving on a suspended license from a previous DWI arrest.
McMinn is charged with driving while intoxicated, aggravated DWI, drinking while driving, second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and failure to keep right, authorities stated. He was ticketed to appear in Town Court on July 18.
