Remsen golfers ninth at league meet

CLINTON — Four area boys golf teams competed in Friday’s Center State Conference Tournament at the Skenandoa Golf Club.

Remsen finished with a two-man team score of 178 to place ninth, while Westmoreland tallied 183 points for 13th, Adirondack had 190 points for 15th and Oriskany was 17th with 198 points.

Sauquoit Valley went on to win the tournament with 160 points.

Remsen was led by Reiss Brand’s score of 87 on the par 72 course to tie for 18th place.

Toby Fitzgerald paced Westmoreland with a 85 to tie for 11th.

Adirondack had Josh Howland hit a score of 90 to tie for 26th.

West Canada Valley’s Bobby Davenport was the tournament’s medalist with a 75.
