Stephanie Siriano

Siriano named softball All-American

HERKIMER — Vernon-Verona-Sherrill graduate and Herkimer County Community College freshman Stephanie Siriano is one of four members of the HCCC softball team who have been named NJCAA All-Americans. Siriano was also was named the Region III co-player of the year.

Along with Siriano, other first team selections for the Lady Generals were Jessica Patterelli and Abby Black. HCCC’s Andrea Rogers was named the Region III tournament MVP and was a second team selection.

All four were also selected for first-team All-Conference and first-team All-Region teams.

Siriano finished her season with a .531 batting average, with 86 RBIs, 16 doubles, nine triples, and 18 home runs.

HCCC ended the season with an overall record of 38-6 and went 12-0 in the Mountain Valley Conference. The team won the program’s first regional championship in 12 years and finished fifth in the nationals held Rochester, Minn.
