Diane L. Halpin


Diane L. Halpin, 63, of Rome, passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2012, at Colonial Park Rehab and Nursing Center.

She was born October 4, 1948 in Rome the daughter of John and Antoinette Revette Monette.

Diane was formerly married to the late Richard Halpin, Sr.

She was employed by Meals on Wheels for several years, and also worked as a nurses aid in the healthcare industry.

Diane was a member of St. Peter’s Church.

She was a spiritual woman with a generous heart. She had a passion for cooking and enjoyed sharing meals with friends and neighbors.

Diane’s family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to Dr. Joel Amidon and the Nursing Staff on A Wing at Colonial Park for their compassion and care provided to her during her brief residency. Also a special thank you to her close companion and caretaker, Jane Fletcher.

Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Laurie and James Moore, Rome; one son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Jennifer Halpin, Jr., Rome; two sisters, Carol Coy, Verona; Gail Rossi, Rome; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Gerald and Darlene Monette, Rome; Gary Monette, Camden; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Morgan Halpin; four brothers, Bruce, Robert, Richard, John, Jr.; and four sisters, Maxine, Joanne, Shelby and Patricia.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, June 5th, 2012, at 11:30 a.m. in St. Peter’s Cemetery. There are no calling hours.

Contributions may be made in Diane’s memory to ALS of Utica, 9169 St. Rt. 49, Marcy, New York 13403.
