Edith R. Money
Edith R. Money, 74, of Rome, passed away on May 24, 2012 in Syracuse, N.Y. She was born in Blossvale, the daughter of Archie and Elmira Furney Taylor. Edith received her education in the Rome schools.
Edith enjoyed life. She was free-minded and lived life to the fullest. She loved to play cards and was always up to a good game of Pitch. She was an avid member of the Pitch League at the Colonial apartments.
Surviving are one daughter, Jacqueline Wood, Syracuse; two sons, Floyd LeRoy Slover, Jr., Oneida and Jodi Money, Lee Center; two sisters, Mary Weaver, Holland Patent and Sally Lloyd, FL; two brothers, John Taylor, Canastota and Dewitt Clinton Taylor, Wheeling, W.V. Also surviving are several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Strong and Burns Funeral Home, 401 N. George St., Rome. Burial will take place in Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. prior to the service.
Edith’s family will gratefully accept donations from those wishing to do so to help defray the cost of final expenses.
