ONEIDA — A 38-year-old man is accused of causing a disturbance near his residence in Madison County Monday night, then elbowing a police officer in the face.
Police said Scott E. Lewis, of East Elm Street, was screaming and yelling obscenities near his home at 11 p.m. Monday, disturbing the neighbors. Several officers responded to take Lewis into custody, which is when police said he struggled with the officers and elbowed one of them in the face.
Lewis is charged with second-degree harassment, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest, authorities stated. He was arraigned and sent to county jail in lieu of $500 cash bail or $1,000 bond. He is scheduled to reappear in City Court on Friday.
