Albert Thomas Salisbury

TOWN OF LEE — Albert Thomas Salisbury, 85, of the Hawkins Corners Road, formerly of the Boonville Gorge road passed away at Rome Memorial Hospital on May 19, 2012. He was born in Rome on April 22, 1927 a son of Albert P. and J. Mildred Thomas Salisbury. He graduated from Rome Free Academy and Rome Trade School in 1945. On August 22, 1959 he married Rhoda May Clark Treen. She died in November 2005. On January 26, 2008 Albert married Sarah Alder Rebe. He was a member of the Westernville Methodist church, Boy Scout master of Coonrod, Portner Vol Fire Co., member of the Lee Grange for 50 years, Westernville Senior Citizens where he was president for two years, West Leyden Pinochle Club and Lee Unity Seniors, member of the Baron-Steuben Masonic Lodge.

Surviving are his wife Sarah; one daughter Charlotte Gorman, Phoenix, AZ; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one step-daughter Leota Pratt, Yuma, AZ; step-grandchildren Wendy (Jeff) Grosjean, Rome; Adam Treen, North Carolina; Kimberly (Scott) Lynch, Montana; Melinda (Fred) Wittwer, Boonville; Timothy (Amanda) Treen, Boonville; step-daughters Otilla (Norman) Fey, West Leyden; Zada (Peter) Moot, Thousand Islands, NY; step-sons Ted (Shirley) Rebe, Jersey Shores, Pa; Paul (Karen) Bow, New Hampshire; 12 step grandchildren; 22 step great-grandchildren; sisters Beverly (Daniel) Ashman, Conneaut, Ohio; Doris (Leigh) Portner, Lee, NY; Brothers Allen P. (Barbara) Salisbury, Rome; James (Beverly) Salisbury, Lee, NY. He is predeceased by one step-son Karl R. Treen in April 2007.

Funeral Services are 12 Noon Wednesday at the Point Rock Methodist Church. Calling Hours are 10-12 Noon prior to the service at the church. Interment in Evergreen Cemetery.
