Strough renovation group reschedules meeting

An advisory committee meeting for the $25.4 million Strough Middle School renovation project that had been scheduled Monday afternoon was cancelled, and will be held next Monday at 3:15 p.m. at Denti Elementary School, according to Superintendent Jeffrey P. Simons’ office.

The committee of school district staffers and parents has been meeting since January regarding plans for the Strough project that may begin in spring 2013 and take an estimated 16-24 months; among key details to be determined are where students would be relocated during construction. The committee, whose meetings are open to the public, will present recommendations to the Board of Education next month.
