Shred Fest Saturday at bank

ONEIDA — To help protect the community from identity theft, Oneida Savings Bank, with the help of Confidata, is holding a Shred Fest 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 19, at its convenience office, 585 Main St..

The public will be able to bring personal documents, financial statements, credit card offers and other sensitive material to be securely shredded at no charge by Confidata.

The process takes a few minutes and Confidata will come to the car to assist. A maximum of five boxes or 175 pounds of material per person will be accepted (no commercial shredding). There will be a bake sale and book sale to benefit the Oneida Savings Bank Relay for Life Team.

To date, the Oneida Savings Shred Fest events have collected and securely shredded over 30,000 pounds of confidential material at no charge. For more information go to
