Wife of fired SU assistant to hold news conference

GENEVA (AP) - The wife of a former Syracuse University assistant basketball coach accused of molesting ball boys will break her silence after six months.

Lawyers for Laurie Fine say she will speak out Wednesday at a news conference in the Finger Lakes city of Geneva about what they call false accusations and scandalous lies in the case.

Two men in November claimed they were molested by coach Bernie Fine when they were ball boys decades ago.

In a taped 2002 phone call between chief accuser Bobby Davis and Laurie Fine, Davis repeatedly asks her what she knew about the alleged molestation and she says she knew "everything that went on."

The two men say some players may have had sex with Laurie Fine.

Bernie Fine has denied wrongdoing and hasn’t been charged.
