Ingalls named to all-conference team

UTICA — Oriskany graduate and Utica College softball player Mallory Ingalls was one of five members of the Lady Pioneers softball team to be selected as members of the Empire 8 All-Conference team this week.

Ingalls was honored with teammates Meghan Matan, Bridgette Plummer, Courtney Fitzgerald, and Allie Jennings.

The junior third baseman finished second on the team in batting average with a .372, on base percentage with a .410, run scored (33), hits (48), RBIs (25), home runs (4), and hits per game (1.23). She had a 13-game hitting streak this past season while batting .556 and also led the conference with three pickoffs, finished tied for third in the conference in runs scored and fourth in hits.

The Pioneers went 22-17 overall and 4-8 in league play this past season.

Mountain Valley honors for Siriano

HERKIMER — Herkimer County Community College softball player and Vernon-Verona-Sherrill graduate Stephanie Siriano was one of four members of the Lady Generals to receive Mountain Valley Conference honors.

Siriano was joined by Jessica Patterelli, Cheyenne Bumpus, and Andrea Rogers.

In 37 games, the freshmen outfielder finished with 20 stolen bases on 22 attempts, 77 RBIs, 63 runs scored, 69 hits, 14 doubles, nine triples with a .531 batting average.

The Lady Generals went 33-4 overall, 30-1 in Region III play, and 12-0 in the Mountain Valley Conference.

Summer lacrosse registration Monday
