Re-elect Davis to school board

Our community is truly fortunate to have Mary O. Davis as a Rome school board candidate. Mary Davis has served selflessly on the Rome school board for the past nine years. She has been an advocate for the students of Rome and helped to see educationally sound visions come to fruition in the district.

Mary Davis adds her personal expertise as a retired school administrator in knowing how to advance the educational goals of all students. She is a well-respected member of the community as seen through her multiple levels of service to the entire Rome community. She is on the Rome Memorial Hospital Board of Trustees, and represents Rome and Oneida County as a CENTRO Board member. Mary Davis is a member of Zonta and also organized the South Rome Neighborhood Block Watch while chairing their monthly meetings.

Mary Davis is a woman of character and substance. She is a supporter of the Rome Character Initiative while also supporting many other philanthropic programs to benefit the needy.

As owner and proprietor of the Angel’s Nest Bed and Breakfast, Mary Davis has the business sense and knowledge to help the district.

Mary Davis can also be seen as a regular volunteer at the Rome Polish Home, where she has rallied to keep a fine Rome institution alive and serving its community.

Through our many years of knowing and supporting Mary Davis, we can honestly say that she is one of Rome’s leaders and truly cares about our students.

During these difficult economic times, we need a savvy, compassionate, and knowledgeable individual to work with the Board of Education for the best possible education for our children.

Please re-elect Mary Davis to her 4th term as a Rome Board of Education member and allow her to continue to strive for excellence in education.
