Edna M. Cyr

BOONVILLE — Edna M. Cyr, 80, a native and life resident of Boonville, passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2012, at Sunset Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Boonville, after a short illness.

Edna was born on November 8, 1931, a daughter of Emil and Genevieve Loveland Cyr. She attended Boonville Central School, and worked as a cook and as a woodworker. For many years, she was employed at Ethan Allen Furniture Co. Boonville.

Edna had a life interest in fishing, hunting, oil painting, and woodworking. She loved children and had many friends.

Miss Cyr is survived by one sister and brother-in-law, Alice Cyr Barlow and John; nephews, Mark Barlow, his wife, Kelley and their children, Nash and Maggie, Raymond Cyr, Robert Cyr and Kenneth Cyr; and nieces, Genevieve Barlow and her children, Jessica, Nguyen and David Martin, Michele Cyr Lacross and Debbie Cyr; and a sister-in-law, Helen Cyr, Boonville. She was predeceased by brothers Arthur, in 1970, and Kenneth, in 2007.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 11, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville, where Pastor Joe Feller of the First Baptist Church, Boonville, will officiate. Interment will follow in Boonville Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday, May 11, from 10:00 a.m. until the services.
