$10,000 grant to John Bosco House
John Bosco House, Inc. has been awarded a grant of $10,000 from The Utica National Group Foundation.
John Bosco House is central New York’s only transitional housing program for homeless young men. Its program helps them to finish school, find employment and become financially self-supporting.
John Bosco House Executive Director Gil Nadeau said, "The foundation’s gift will make it possible for us to repair some major leaks in the roof, as well as do some much needed re-pointing of the chimney bricks."
Nadeau said the homeless program, which began in February of 2011, has served 16 young men to date.
