Pennsylvania bowler takes crown at King Pin Lanes

Wernersville, Pa. native Travis Celmer defeated Brad Angelo of Lockport by a score of 258-213 in the championship match of the 13th annual King Pin Lanes PBA Eastern Regional Tournament on Sunday.

Celmer went on to defeat Eric Smyth, Ryan Shafer, and P.J.Sonday in the bracket finals over the weekend to reach the final match with Angelo in the 72-man tournament filled with professional and amateur players. The lefty averaged 229 in the two-day tournament to claim $2,500 of the $14,000 prize fund, while Angelo received $1,300 as the runner-up

Oriskany native Joe Bar III averaged 227 to finish in 18th place and pocketed $425.

Rome bowler James Grago averaged 208, and fellow Rome native Loreto Guiliano averaged 195.
