Jewelry sales benefit library

Just in time for Mother’s Day, a jewelry sale to benefit Jervis Public Library will be held on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the library’s wheelchair accessible auditorium. The sale was organized by Friends of Jervis Public Library, with a portion of all proceeds donated to the library.

By Light of the Moon Jewelry sells "high quality sterling silver jewelry" made by Susan Hatzinger, a silversmith in the Rome area for over 20 years, and other artists from around the world. She said she makes approximately 25 percnt of the jewelry, while the rest is obtained from other talented artists. The silver is frequently combined with gemstones.

Library officials said this is not a catalog show; supporters take with them what they purchase that day. Cash, checks and credit cards are accepted. Gift-wrapping will be available.

For more information about the event, ask at the Information Desk or call the library at 336-4570.
