Alzheimer’s suppor groups for friends, families

The Alzheimer’s Association, Central New York Chapter offers peer- or professionally-led support groups for friends and family dealing with Alzheimer’s disease. All support groups are facilitated by trained individuals.

Area meetings include:

May 7, June 4: (1st Monday), 5 p.m., Folt’s Home, 104 N. Washington St., Herkimer.

May 15, June 19: (3rd Tuesday), 4:30 p.m., St. John’s Lutheran Church, 502 W. Chestnut St., Rome.

May 23, June 27: (4th Wednesday), 4 p.m., Little Falls Hospital, 4th Floor, Conference Room B, 140 Burwell St., Little Falls.

May 30, June 27: (Last Wednesday), 3 p.m., Brookdale Senior Living Clarebridge of Clinton, 115 Brookside Rd., Clinton.

May 30, June 27: (Last Wednesday), 7 p.m., Trinity Church Parish Hall, 121 Ford St., Boonville.

June 25: (Last Monday), 2 p.m., Oneida Public Library, 220 Broad St., Oneida.

The Alzheimer’s Association, Central New York Chapter aims to eliminate Alzheimer’s disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health. "Our vision is a world without Alzheimer’s disease," chapter officials said.
