Fort Stanwix Chapter hosts DAR Roundtable at Beeches

Fort Stanwix Chapter National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution were hostesses for the Central New York Roundtable April 11 at The Beeches on Turin Road.
Guest of honor and speaker was State Regent Denise Doring VanBuren. Sixteen chapters were represented from the Northeastern Division.
Prior to the business meeting, Fort Stanwix members provided musical selections which were discovered from a scrap book dated 1896-1922. Jennifer Evans accompanied on piano.
Chairman Nancy McDade conducted the business meeting followed by lunch.
Fort Stanwix Chapter officers attending were: Cheryl Jacobs, regent; Joyce Butters, 1st vice regent; Nancy Beeman, 2nd vice regent; Peggy Lisewski, recording secretary; Penny Stone, corresponding secretary; Alice Elphick, treasurer; Nancy

Balcavage, chaplain; Gwen Eddy, assistant treasurer. Other members attending were Jennifer Evans, Deanne Martin and Diane Miller.
State Regent VanBuren discussed several patriotic endeavors that the National Society represents. A question-and-answer period followed.
