County Office for Aging offers
help at 27 visits each month
Oneida County Office for the Aging and Continuing Care will provide in-person information and assistance at several community focal points located throughout the county.
In addition to more than 27 monthly scheduled site visit locations, OFA will maintain two client service walk-in offices — one at 301 W. Dominick St. and the other at Oneida County Office Building, 800 Park Ave., Utica.
The main address for the Office for the Aging is 120 Airline St., Whitestown, which serves as an administrative office and location for field staff. Information and assistance for aging and long-term care services, programs and needs can be obtained by calling the main office number at 798-5456.
Services at all walk-in locations may include assistance with benefit and entitlement applications, such as Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP), food stamps, Medicaid and Medicare. Other types of information and assistance can include eligibility for Office for the Aging community in-home based programs and various community resources for elderly, disabled and family caregivers.

¿ South Rome Senior Center, 211 Ridge St., 11 a.m. to noon, fourth Wednesday of the month.
¿ Lee Center Town Hall, 5808 Stokes-Lee Center Road, 11 a.m. to noon, first Wednesday of the month.
¿ Barneveld Seniors — Singing Hills Seniors, 852 Old Poland Road, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., September HEAP season.
¿ Boonville United Methodist Church, 105 Ann St., 11 a.m. to noon, second Wednesday of the month.
¿ Deerfield Town Hall, 6329 Walker Road, 1-2 p.m., first Thursday of the month.
¿ Forestport Town Hall, Woodhull Street, 11 a.m. to noon, third Wednesday of the month in January, May, July, September, November and December.
¿ Kirkland Senior Center, 2 Mill St., 11 a.m. to noon, second Tuesday of the month.
¿ Marcy Seniors Town Hall, 8801 Paul Becker Road, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., September only through HEAP season.
¿ Sherrill Community Activity Center, 139 E. Hamilton Ave., 10:30-11:30 a.m., first Wednesday of the month.
¿ Vernon United Methodist Church, 5690 Main St., 11 a.m. to noon, fourth Wednesday of the month.
