Police said David J. Bartlett Jr., 19, of North Lake Street, Oneida, and Michael C. Duarte, 19, of West Elm Street, Oneida, were charged Sunday with first-degree burglary, second-degree assault, both felonies, and fourth-degree mischief. Police said the two men were part of a group that kicked down the door at a Sconondoa Street home at 1:25 a.m. April 10 and attacked a man inside using a steel pipe.
Previously charged in this investigation were Charles R. Tooke, 23, of Sherrill, and Dylan R. McNabb, 20, of Oneida.
Police said the victim suffered cuts, bruises and swelling to his arms, head, back, chest and legs. He was treated at the Oneida Healthcare Center.
Bartlett and Duarte were arraigned in City Court and were sent to county jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $15,000 bond, authorities stated. They are scheduled to return to court on April 27.
