Two busted for drugs on Thruway
TOWN OF DANUBE — A Clinton man was one of two people busted for marijuana possession on the Thruway in Herkimer County on Friday.
State police said Kayla N. Sewell, 27, of Massachusetts, was pulled over on the Thruway on April 20 for having an object hanging from the rear-view mirror, a charge of obstructing the driver’s view. Once she was stopped, both Sewell and passenger Scott K. Schrader, 28, of Clinton, were charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, troopers stated.
Schrader was additionally charged with one count of seventh-degree possession of a controlled substance, because troopers said he was also found with psylocibin mushrooms.
Both Sewell and Schrader were released on appearance tickets to Town Court.
