Community Action picks deputy
Mohawk Valley Community Action Agency has appointed Evon Ervin deputy director.
Ervin has been a community educator with the anti-poverty agency for over two years. As deputy director Ervin will oversee the coordination of programs and services, while continuing to be an advocate and spokesperson for the agency.
Ervin is a native of Utica and sits on the Utica City School District’s Board of Education, as well as the boards of the Home Ownership Center and Utica Safe Schools/Healthy Students.
She is a member of the Oneida County NAACP, Family and Community Connection and Communities That Care.
