Pill drop-off, shredding April 28
TOWN OF LINCOLN — The Madison County Department of Solid Waste and Sanitation is hosting two events on Saturday, April 28, A Safe Pill Collection being held in conjunction with the Drug Enforcement Administration’s fourth National Prescription Pill Take-Back Day and a free Shredding Event for destruction of confidential documents.
The Safe Pill Collection will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and the shredding event from 9 a.m. to Noon. at the main Landfill site on Buyea Road in the Town of Lincoln three miles south of the traffic light on Route 5 in Wampsville.Residents dropping off prescription drugs are asked to keep the medications in their original containers; personal information can be crossed out. Those attending the free shredding event can shred up to three cubic feet (three file boxes) of confidential material on site.
