Rider injured after dirt bike jump
TOWN OF ANNSVILLE — A 45-year-old man is in fair condition this morning after he flipped over the handlebars of his dirt bike in Annsville Monday.
Sheriff’s deputies said Thomas A. Conte III, of Utica, was riding a Kawasaki dirt bike on an off-road course near Julie Street when he lost control soon after completing a ramped jump. Deputies said Conte’s bike landed and he was thrown over the handlebars.
Conte complained of shoulder and hip pain was transported to St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Utica.
Hospital officials said he is in fair condition this morning.
Deputies said no tickets were issued.
