Trenton Technology chief Business Person of Year
Albert Mazloom has been named the 2012 Business Person of the Year by the Mohawk Valley Chamber of Commerce. Mazloom is the chief executive officer of Trenton Technology, which he founded in 1977.
The award is given to an individual who has shown exemplary service to the chamber or community.
Mazloom, a graduate of Utica College, entered the technology industry when he was hired as comptroller for Cogar Corp. He was promoted to vice president and was George Cogar’s advisor and business partner until Cogar’s death in 1983. "Mazloom is a dedicated community supporter and possesses a lengthy list of institutions he is involved with, a true ambassador for the region," the chamber noted.
Mazloom will receive his award at the chamber’s annual membership meeting at noon on Friday, April 20, at Harts Hill Inn in Whitestown. The event will also feature Rep. Richard Hanna, as well as Janet Kavinoky, executive director of the US Chamber of Commerce, as the keynote speakers.
To attend the meeting, call 724-3151 extension 227. Tickets can be purchased for $35 each or $280 for a table of eight.
