Rabies clinic Thursday
at firehouse in Camden

CAMDEN — The county Department of Health will hold a rabies clinic 5-7 p.m. Thursday at the Camden firehouse, 14 Church St.

All cats, dogs and ferrets 3 months or older must be vaccinated, even if they stay indoors. Dogs and cats need to be vaccinated at 3 months, 1 year and then once every three years. Ferrets must be vaccinated every year. Bring the pet’s vaccination history to receive a three-year certificate. Pets without proof will receive a one-year certificate.

Dogs should be on a leash, and cats and ferrets should be in a carrier or pillowcase.

No exams will be given.

The department suggests a $10 donation per pet to defray costs. For more information, call the department at 798-5064.
