Meet bird club program Wednesday

SHERBURNE — The Chenango Bird Club presents a free "Meet the Chenango Bird Club" on Wednesday, April 11 at 7 in the Bird Exhibit Cabin at the Rogers Environmental Education Center, 2721 State Highway 80, a mile west of Route 12.

The evening will introduce the Chenango Bird Club to visitors, and include information about the club’s schedule, activities, and goals. Chenango Bird checklists will be available as well as forms for reporting sightings and opportunities to share them.

Guest George Franke, Norwich Evening Sun outdoors reporter will share his work, interests and goals.

Refreshments will be served after the program. Bird Club members will have a short business meeting at 6:30, before the program. Attendees are welcome to join in all or part of the evening activities.

The Chenango Bird Club presents monthly programs (except January, February, and March). Nature enthusiasts of all interests are invited to all Chenango Bird Club programs, free of charge.

Participants should park in the main visitor’s parking lot off Route 80 and walk to the west end of the lot to the Bird Cabin.
