To all of us, not just in Utica, Marcy, Rome, Ava, West Leyden, Camden and Ilion or elsewhere, I am writing with great concern for the patients at Mohawk Valley Psychiatric Center.
I feel that as human beings we the people have let these people down, and it is a big disgrace to our society. It shows what the government can do to the people, not "for" the people that cannot speak for themselves.
I myself am not a great writer, but I do know that it is not right by any means.
I feel that maybe our government and local leaders should take a pay cut instead of putting helpless people back out on the streets to fend for themselves. I have talked to many people about this topic of great concern and they feel as troubled as I do. May the grace of God be with us in these troubled times.
