Woman charged for knife swipe
Accused of swinging a knife at her ex-boyfriend during a domestic dispute on North Levitt Street early Friday, a 43-year-old woman is facing multiple charges.
Police said Sheila M. Dole, of 309 N. Levitt St., sliced the knife through the air at her 41-year-old ex-boyfriend during the 2:30 a.m. dispute March 30. Police said Dole also punched the man in the side of his head before leaving the residence.
In a statement to police, the victim said they were arguing because he wanted Dole to move out of their apartment. Authorities said Dole was taken into custody early Sunday morning on charges of second-degree menacing and second-degree harassment. She was released on her own recognizance from City Court, and is scheduled to reappear on April 30.
