Westmoreland boys pick up five-set victory over Oneida
WESTMORELAND — The Westmoreland boys volleyball squad came away with a 3-2 victory over Oneida on Monday in a non-league matchup. Set scores were 17-25, 25-19, 21-25, 25-22 and 25-19.
Jake Landry recorded 15 assists, 11 kills, two blocks, two digs and two aces to pace the Bulldogs, while Tyler Barnes added four kills, 21 digs and an assist. Andrew Murphy made 36 digs, an ace, two kills, and an assist, and Bryan Harper had 14 assists, six kills, a block and an ace, as Westmoreland’s record moves to 4-3 overall.
Eric Merrell had 10 digs, 16 assists and two aces for Oneida, as David Kann hit 23 digs, six kills and had a blocked shot, and Eddie Stewart made 17 digs, two aces, seven kills and an assist.
