Blair sparks high-scoring Wings to win

Senior Josh Blair scored a career-high 33 points to lead the Rome Catholic boys basketball team to a 93-67 home triumph over Morrisville-Eaton on Saturday in a Center State Conference crossover makeup game.

The game was originally scheduled to be played on Jan. 13.

Will Thomas poured in 42 points in a losing cause for 2-10 M-E.

Blair recorded a double-double as he added 11 rebounds, while Marvin Sherman added 21 points, 10 assists and eight steals.

Dave Sblendorio also had 20 points, Connor Marchione had nine points and 15 rebounds and Brian Campbell contributed nine assists.

Matt Rohner scored 18 points for the visitors.

Rome Catholic, 9-4 overall, will next host CSC Division foe Oriskany on Thursday night at 7:30.
